At the start of the US Open, Carlos Alcaraz, asked to pick the winner of this year’s men’s singles competition, backed himself to be the one raising the trophy.

Almost immediately after he won the US Open final against Casper Ruud, Alcaraz climbed the stands and celebrated with his box.

The Spaniard went to his box and hugged everyone, from his team to his friends and family. US Open published a video of the moment on their Instagram account. “What a journey for this young star. Congrats, Carlitos Alcaraz, enjoy every second of this,” US Open captioned the video.
