Joaquin Niemann made his LIV Golf debut in Boston. Niemann played great and came close to winning, but Dustin Johnson was simply too strong. Niemann was blown away by the reception and the audience, which was fantastic. LIV Golfers emphasized many times how important it is to attract the attention of the young crowd. Their goal was to make the younger generations fall in love with golf, and it looks like they are doing well on that path.

LIV Golf and younger audienceThere have been criticisms of golf for several years. Many expect that golf will lose its fans, considering that mostly older generations are passionate about golf. Younger generations proved to be less interested in sports.
“I think it needs to change. Particularly as our golf fans become younger, I think we need to do something to make it exciting for them. I think it's the right move for sure.”
Johnson's putt on the par-5 18th was quick, but Johnson showed his class and eventually came to victory. He could not hide his happiness after the excellent result, and this will only be his motivation for the upcoming challenges.
"It was going a little fast, but it was a good line," Johnson said. "I got some unlucky breaks [on No. 18] the first time around. It owed me one, and I got it."
LIV Golf continues according to its plan and its goal is to become a dominant force. The competition looks great so far.
