Jon Rahm remains second in the world golf rankings behind American Scottie Scheffler, while Australian Cameron Smith pushes Collin Morikawa off the podium and Justin Thomas moves up to fifth after winning the PGA Championship in Tulsa.
Jon Rahm, rankingScheffler, who did not make the cut, accumulates an average of 9.65 points, compared to Rahm's 7.95, forty-eighth in Southern Hills, and Smith's 7.42, thirteenth in the second major of the season.
Thomas improves four places after obtaining the second 'major' of his career by beating Will Zalatoris in the tiebreaker, who goes from thirtieth to fourteenth place, just ahead of England's Matt Fitzpatrick, fifth this Sunday.
The Chilean Mito Pereira, who lost the victory in Tulsa due to an error in the first shot of the last hole, when it was enough for him to make par and he finished third, went from position 100 to 49 in the most spectacular progression.
Sergio García is the second Spaniard on the list. He did not make the cut in the PGA Championship and drops from 47th to 51st place, while Adri Arnaus, 30th in Tulsa, improves one position and is now 55th.
The other Spanish participant this weekend, Pablo Larrazábal could not make it to the weekend either, but he maintains his 70th place.
