South-African comedian Trevor Noah called Roger Federer "the classiest man" he has ever meet as he is hoping to see the Swiss soon back on the court competing.
Federer was born in Basel, Switzerland, but he also South-African roots as his mother Linette was born in South Africa.
Two years ago, Federer held a charity exhibition event in South Africa.
There, Federer was joined by his old rival Rafael Nadal.
"And lastly, thank you to my fellow half Swiss half South African @rogerfederer. You were the ultimate host & still the classiest man I’ve ever met," Noah tweeted. "I know you miss me on the court but hopefully you’ll be able to play on in my honour now that my knee is out of commission."

Federer has been confirmed for two tournaments so far - the Laver Cup and Basel.
The Laver Cup takes place in late September, while Basel is scheduled for October.
“He’s exactly where he wants to be but unfortunately it takes time. He’s going to play Laver Cup and Swiss Indoors,” Federer's agent Tony Godsick told Standard Sport.
“Could he add a tournament before then? Maybe yes but more likely after that. He doesn’t want to commit to anything too soon before having to pull out. But the Laver Cup is enough time that, if all goes well with rehab events, he can get back for.”
Last year, Federer reached the Wimbledon quarterfinal before losing to Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets.
When Godsick was asked about the chances of seeing Federer at Wimbledon, he suggested the Swiss will skip the tournament.
“It was a great effort last year on one leg. And I think he’d like another Wimbledon. That place has been incredibly special to him," Godsick said.
