WWE typically goes to Japan for a series of shows in the summer but this year that won’t be the case.
Indeed, the company has announced on its Japanese website that its tour of Japan will not be happening due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic:
“Unfortunately, we will not be holding the ‘WWE Live Japan’ scheduled for July 2nd (Thursday) Edion Arena Osaka and July 3rd (Friday) and 4th (Saturday) Yokohama Arena this year. Tickets will be refunded from June 8th (Monday) 10:00 to July 12th (Sunday) 23:59.”
New Japan Pro Wrestling has yet to reopen its doors following the Covid-19 outbreak but may announce plans for as much soon. WWE, meanwhile, is also likely to announce plans for live events with fans in the near future.
