WWE spent most of Monday Night Raw this week promoting something big that happened after Drew McIntyre won the WWE championship from Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 36. Just before the show went off the air, they got around to airing it.

A wild Big Show appeared!

Indeed, as McIntyre was doing a post-match interview in the ring, Big Show came out dragging a referee by the arm. He said he wasn’t there to challenge for the title at the next pay-per-view (Money in the Bank), but he did want to fight right now.

McIntyre wasn’t going to bite, but then Show slapped him and the match was on. It wasn’t entirely clear at first if he meant to challenge for the title now, but commentary cleared that up by revealing it was indeed a championship match.

In the end, it didn’t make a difference either way. McIntyre took a bit of a beating but pinned Show in the middle of the ring after a Claymore Kick to retain his title.

And now this becomes a new bit of trivia:

Big Show vs. Drew McIntyre was the main event of WrestleMania 36.
