We finally learned a little more about who Daniel Bryan is on Friday Night SmackDown this week, as he admitted to The Miz that he is both extremely passionate and mentally unstable. I’m not sure if that means we’re supposed to cheer or boo him, perhaps that’s for us to decide on our own, but in the story it was used as justification for his being the perfect guy to take the Universal championship (the nice looking new one) from Bray Wyatt.

Because you can only fight the mentally unstable with the mentally unstable.

Or something.

The Fiend agreed to a match, and The Miz announced it will take place at the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view on Nov. 24, 2019, at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Here’s the updated match card:

  • Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Rey Mysterio (WWE championship)
  • Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan (Universal championship)
  • Becky Lynch vs. Bayley vs. Shayna Baszler
  • AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Roderick Strong
  • The Viking Raiders vs. The New Day vs. The Undisputed Era
  • Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown vs. Team NXT (Men’s Elimination Match)
  • Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown vs. Team NXT (Women’s Elimination Match)
