On Eurosport, the seven-time Grand Slam winner Mats Wilander commented on the Novak Djokovic's great momentum. The Serb is the only French Open semifinalist out of him, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem not to have lost a set so far in the tournament. The Swede said: "Novak's confidence is as higher or higher than Roger Federer's, so that's difficult to beat. Novak smiles, looks at Vajda and he suddenly becomes so good. His confidence is through the sky."

On Alexander Zverev approaching the grass season holding just one title, the Geneva Open, Wilander added: "I think that it's good for him that he is not winning any tournament. That's the best thing that could happen to him. He is more focused during the Grand Slams now than he was in the past." Zverev will play his next tournament in Halle. He seems unlikely to take a wild card in Stuttgart next week.

On Roger Federer's potential tactic against Rafael Nadal, Wilander concluded: "I think he has a chance if he comes out and plays sort of careful tennis with the process of finding the right mixture of drop shots, slice backhands, flat backhands, the right mixture of serve and volley. If he comes out and guesses way around and tactics and it works early on, then he has a good chance but I am afraid he could play a clay-court match just to see how Rafa is and we may have suddenly the situation where Rafa was dominating and you start panicking because Roger has to win more games. This is the match of the year!"
