Diego Schwartzman: For me, Rafael Nadal is the best competitor in history

Argentina's Diego Schwartzman dropped a big praise on world No. 2 Rafael Nadal during the French Open final as the Argentinian thinks the Spaniard is the best competitor in the history of the game. 

Nadal, 33, came up big when needed most yet again at Roland Garros as he saw off rising Austrian star Dominic Thiem in the final 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1 to win a record 12th French Open title. 

Fourth-seeded Thiem put up a fight to win the second set but that was all from the Austrian as Nadal responded to losing the second set in an impressive way as he dropped just two games in the rest of the match.

Two-time ATP champion Schwartzman knows well how tough it is to play against now an 18-time Grand Slam champion Nadal as the Spaniard leads the head-to-head against the Argentinian 7-0.

"Every match that Rafael Nadal plays you learn something new. For me, he is the best competitor in history," Schwartzman tweeted during the final. 

The 33-year-old Spaniard dropped a total of two sets in seven matches played at the tournament on his way to winning his third consecutive French Open title.
